Curating Your Brand

Generating Authenticity in Yourself Then Your Brand

As I was learning how to model, I had an impression of what a model should be and what a model should look like. I was told to lose weight at 110 lbs; I was told to cut and dye by red hair to a black lob; I was told because I wasn’t a traditional view of sexy that I wouldn’t be able to sell lingerie. Once I decided that what was being said to me wasn’t the best way to move forward in my career, I grew significantly.

How did I grow myself and my brand? Authenticity.

It took awhile, but when I became comfortable with myself and realistic about why I was modeling and what my goals were, I began taking better photos because I was more comfortable in my skin. More brands wanted to book me because they could see that I was being unapologetically myself and that was the best seller because there’s only one of you.

So, I know this was short, be yourself and love yourself and that's the best advice I could ever give anyone.
